Counselling offers a dedicated space to explore whatever is on your mind, whether you’re facing a specific challenge, navigating a difficult period, or trying to understand longer-standing patterns. Together, we’ll create a supportive and confidential environment where you can talk openly, reflect on your experiences, and explore what feels most important to you.
People come to counselling for many different reasons. You may be experiencing anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship difficulties, grief, burnout, or challenges around identity or self-confidence. Equally, you might not have a specific area of concern but simply want to understand yourself more deeply or make sense of patterns that no longer feel helpful. Whatever brings you to counselling, we’ll work toward meaningful change together, at a pace that feels right for you.
I work by drawing on and integrating a range of counselling approaches and tailoring our sessions to your individual needs. Rather than following a single model, I adapt my way of working to what feels most helpful for you.
As counselling develops and your needs evolve, our work can evolve too. I encourage open dialogue throughout the process, ensuring counselling remains responsive, collaborative and relevant to you.
Counselling can be offered on either an open-ended or time-limited basis, depending on your needs and what you hope to gain from counselling.
Open-ended counselling offers the flexibility to explore issues at your own pace, without a set end date. This can be particularly helpful for exploring longer-standing patterns, deepening self-understanding, or supporting ongoing personal growth.
Time-limited counselling focuses on a specific issue or goal over an agreed number of sessions. This approach offers structure while providing a focused space to explore challenges, develop new perspectives, and identify strategies for change.
During our initial assessment session, we’ll discuss what feels most appropriate for you. This can be reviewed at any point as your needs or circumstances change.
